Johnny Wilkins - Well, good afternoon Myke. How was your holiday?
Myke Adams - It was excellent actually Johnny, I am hoping yours was too, I got the chance to catch up with my niece and nephew as well as my sister in law. It was a ton and a half better than last year's holiday. With everything that has happened over the past year, I just take it as a blessing to be sitting where I am, and be fortunate as I have to continue on a path towards something bigger than myself.
Johnny Wilkins - Great to hear, my holiday was a good time as well. And when you say "bigger than yourself" are you giving reference to your impressive win at Atonement? Or the fact your peers, the men and women you compete with and against each and every week... Well they have chosen you to be a member of the Simcoe County Championship Wrestling Hall of Fame. I mean this places you into SCCW's hearts, and minds forever Myke!
Myke Adams - Oh I know Wilk. And hence why I said I was blessed... It has been a long hard road thus far, and it only gets more weary. The waves bigger, the storm clouds darker. But with Barrie's wrestling fans at my side, I honestly feel each Monday when I blitz through those curtains that I could take on the World. It actually just stunned me when you called earlier... All the hard work, the struggles and violent beat downs I have taken...
[There is a pause, Adams voice choking up slightly. We hear him clear his nose out with a deep inhale. He sighs now as his voice comes back onto the tape.]
Myke Adams - Well it is just an honor to know everything has not been for nay, that everything I have set out to do... not only for myself, not only for Myke Adams or even SCCW, but for the entire fan base of Simcoe County Wrestling... Just knowing they respect what you do, and appreciate you beyond words. This is the highest honor I have ever received in this sport... period.
Johnny Wilkins - More so than your Bunkhouse Brawl win? Where you laid your claim to the SCCW Heavyweight title?
[Adams chuckles softly. His soft smile can almost be seen through the sound of his light hearted laugh.]
Myke Adams - Not to discredit the Heavyweight title, because frankly it stings in at number two. But this is immortal here Wilk. Titles... they come and go, ya win em, ya lose em. Being chosen to become part of the Hall of Fame, that is forever. And no one can ever take that from me, or the fans of Barrie who have been like a back bone for me these past six months or so.
Johnny Wilkins - Fair enough, so you feel this honors them as much as yourself?
Myke Adams - Yea, without a doubt! There have been times during my title run up to and after the Brawl where I was just aching, hurting... I knew my body wanted to quit, my heart told me to fight through the pain. The nasty ladder match with Justin, when he was decked out like Grim. The actual Brawl itself, barbed wire around the ring, people hitting you from each and every direction... But Barrie kept me fighting, when the Synidcate kept shoving me down, attacking in numbers, with weapons... Barrie's fans kept my heart pumping. So yes Wilk, to me this award is not only the biggest honor of my career... But I feel it proves what I have said all along to not only opponents, but the SCCW fans...
Johnny Wilkins - Which was? And is?
Myke Adams - Together we could accomplish anything, their support. Their love and undying thrill of everything I have done since I first returned to Canada. It has made me into a completely new man, and yes I won the Barbaric championship... But what was I supposed to do Wilk? Lay down and let some goon like Chris Champion have a shot at getting his grease mitts on it?
[Wilkins chuckles slightly now.]
Johnny Wilkins - Well, I know when it was announced... Your name was the one that popped to alot of the competitors in this contest. This Barbaric free for all, I think actually solidified the "legend" of "The Suicidal Superman". I mean first you come to Barrie with Ryan Reed and snag up the tag titles in your second match with the company... From there an All Barrie championship...
Myke Adams - Yeah, well those were chances taken advantage of... This time, 2009, has been different... I have had to fight with everything I have to get where I sit today. From the loss to Will for the All Barrie title all the way to Atonement when I didn't think I could keep going... I mean all the respect and then some to Joseph Cole, he has a bright future in Simcoe. It was an honor to finish out the year in a match like that against a competitor such as him.
Johnny Wilkins - I know the crowd was in a trance, even people who had been eliminated where in awe over the back and fourth between you both. It was just another classic moment for the Suicidcon. I mean you have come to Barrie and ignited these fans Myke, not only do you give them all the credit, but you make sure you take each and every chance to show how much their support means to you. I think this Hall of Fame induction is simply the icing on a cake that was already a damn good bake.
[Adams laughs a bit.]
Myke Adams - Wow, thanks Wilk. I am serious that means alot. And I can honestly say I am looking forward to the coming year... I mean everyone gets a fresh start so to speak and we get to keep writing history week by week.
Johnny Wilkins - Well you keep doing what you do Myke. I am sure I am not the only one who looks forward to seeing just where your reign as the Barbaric champion takes that title in Simcoe. Here's to a great 2010, thank you again for everything you've already done and continue to do for this place!
Myke Adams - No thank you for your time today Wilk, a giving me a chance to show my appreciation to the fans and my fellow competitors who voted me into the Simcoe books... forever.
And that was where the interview cut off...

OOC -from Myke the Handler of Myke Adams
I really just want to say thank you to everyone who voted for me as an OOC handler, and my character. I have worked really hard over the past couple years (10) to make this Adams guy a believable and likable asset to a fed somewhere. SCCW has been that place, and each and every one of you are like my internet family. I appreciate your appreciation for everything I have striven to do, and continue to do. Thank you all so much...
Here's to another great year coming up!
Thanks so much! ~Myke
